I began taking photos in high school but didn’t call myself a photographer until I moved to Europe and discovered a way to get paid for it. I got super serious about the art four years ago when I married into a media family. That’s when I quit my job in a European Business Law Firm, and left my matchbox-tiny, ally-view flat. It’s when I decided, life’s too short to be taken seriously.

I just moved to Lake Norman. Or rather, I will be moving. Very soon. To a very Wisteria Lane type street with mock Victorian lamp posts which I like quite a alot. Now I take photos on the lake, in Charlotte, and across North Carolina. Once or twice a month I even hop up to D.C . or down to Atlanta. I also photograph weddings abroad because that’s where it all began and because it really did become my second home.

My husband - an Englishman who loves all this sunny weather - usually helps out with my sessions. Partly because he’s a photojournalist who’s been doing news, feature and fashion photography for 15 years and is just freakishly good. Mostly because his work has appeared in the London Times, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph (to name just a few).  He’s also photographed the British Royal Family - and that kind of street cred you just can’t buy.
