It’s 2:30a.m. and I’ve been up all night processing pics from the weekend. I’m terribly addicted to this sort of thing. I once spent three hours on one image and then gave it away. If you’re just here to have a nose around, then meet ‘Karly’. She’s four and I photographed her very first recital this weekend. I’m not sure how she felt about having a camera stuck in her face. I think it may have chased her out of the ‘zone’ - for her second performance, she channeled Mae West. But I was determined to fill up the new Lexar Professional cards I bought. In England it’s called Mothering Sunday and it falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent - exactly three weeks before Easter. Historically, it had more to do with Mother Church than Mother May I. In America, where it was imported and first celebrated as a form of social activisim by a woman in Grafton, West Virginia, it’s this weekend.

My photography challenge: Photograph as many mothers as I can. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
